HIV
The HIV epidemic continues to spread and affect communities throughout the world. Ninety percent of people living with HIV live in developing countries, over two-thirds of the total number living in sub-Saharan Africa. Four out of five HIV positive women and 87% of HIV positive children in the world live in Africa. Prevalence of HIV, on the other hand, has continued to increase due to these reductions in death rates and the resultant extension in the lifespan of people living with HIV/AIDS. HIV is not dormant during the so called clinically latent period. Studies of lymph node biopsy specimens from HIV-infected individuals using nucleic acid hybridization techniques have demonstrated active viral replication at all stages of disease. These genetic variants may also enable the virus to escape immune surveillance activity. This active replication of HIV is accompanied by a rapid turnover of CD4 lymphocyte cells.

Apelin-36 (rat, mouse)
catalog no : M30766
cas no: 230299-95-3
Endogenous APJ receptor agonist that is secreted by adipocytes. Binds with high affinity to APJ receptors (IC50 = 5.4 nM) and potently inhibits cAMP production in vitro (EC50 = 0.52 nM). Involved in regulation of cardiovascular function, fluid homeostasis and feeding. Blocks entry of some HIV-1 and HIV-2 strains into NP-2/CD4 cells expressing APJ. -
Apelin-36 (human)
catalog no : M30765
cas no: 252642-12-9
Endogenous APJ receptor agonist (EC50 = 20 nM) that is secreted by adipocytes. Binds with high affinity to human APJ receptors expressed in HEK 293 cells (pIC50= 8.61). Involved in regulation of cardiovascular function, fluid homeostasis and feeding. Blocks entry of some HIV-1 and HIV-2 strains into NP-2/CD4 cells expressing APJ. -
Apelin-17 (human, bovine)
catalog no : M30764
cas no: 217082-57-0
Endogenous apelin receptor agonist. Potently inhibits forskolin-stimulated cAMP accumulation (pIC50 = 9.94). -
Decanoyl-RVKR-CMK
catalog no : M30696
cas no: 150113-99-8
Subtilisin/Kex2p-like proprotein convertase inhibitor; blocks activity of all seven convertases (PC1, PC2, PC4, PACE4, PC5, PC7 and furin). Abolishes proET-1 processing in endothelial cells; inhibits regulated secretion of the neuronal polypeptide VGF in PC12 cells. -
Peptide T TFA
catalog no : M30571
cas no: 1610056-01-3
Peptide T (TFA) is an octapeptide from the V2 region of HIV-1 gp120. Peptide T is a ligand for the CD4 receptor and prevents binding of HIV to the CD4 receptor.
