Brief DescriptionGlycolic acid is an inhibitor of tyrosinase suppressing melanin formationand used in skincare products
-
DescriptionGlycolic acid is an inhibitor of tyrosinase suppressing melanin formationand used in skincare products.(In Vitro):Different concentrations of Glycolic acid (GA) or LA (300 and 500 mg/mL) are tested on the growth of mouse and human melanoma cells. Both types of cells grow well, even in the presence of 300 mg/mL of each chemical for 5 days. However, 500 mg/mL Glycolic acid inhibits the cell growth of mouse melanoma cells (41%) and humanmelanoma cells (27%), and 500 mg/mL of LA inhibits the growth of mouse melanoma cells (36%).

Reference
-
Methyl rosmarinate
Methyl rosmarinate is a noncompetitive tyrosinase inhibitor which is isolated from Rabdosia serra, with an IC50 of 0.28 mM for mushroom tyrosinase.Methyl rosmarinate shows antioxidative, and antifungal activities.?It has inhibitory activities against tyrosinase, α±-glucosidase, and matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1).
-
Arbutin
Arbutin(β-Arbutin) is a glycoside; a glycosylated hydroquinone extracted from the bearberry plant in the genus Arctostaphylos; inhibits tyrosinase and thus prevents the formation of melanin.
-
lysine
Lysine is one of nine essential amino acids in humans required for growth and tissue repair, Lysine is supplied by many foods, especially red meats, fish, and dairy products.
