NoteResearch use only, not for human use.
-
Brief DescriptionEngeletin possesses potent inhibition of PGE2 release with IC5 values of 19.6 μg/ml.
-
DescriptionEngeletin may serve as a potential anti-inflammatory agent. Engeletin possesses potent inhibition of PGE2 release with IC5 values of 19.6 μg/ml. 3. Engeletin inhibits a recombinant human aldose reductase (IC5 value=1.16 microM).
-
In VitroEngeletin is a flavanonol glycoside isolated from hymenaea martiana, inhibits NF-κB signaling-pathway activation.
-
In VivoEngeletin (25, 50, 100 mg/kg, i.p.) markedly reduces LPS-increased myeloperoxidase activity in mice, activates NF-κB-pathway activation, decreases the production of inflammatory mediators (iNOS and COX-2), and suppresses the expression of TLR4-signaling downstream molecules such as MyD88, IRAK1, TRAF6, and TAK1 proteins.
