DescriptionThe cell-permeable, pivaloyloxymethylester of Stafib-1, which is a potent, selective small molecule inhibitor of transcription factor STAT5b with Ki of 44 nM, >50-fold selectivity over STAT5a; inhibits tyrosine phosphorylation of a STAT5b-GFP fusion protein with high selectivity over the corresponding STAT5a-GFP fusion protein in human leukemia cells; is a valuable tool for dissecting the functions of STAT5b and STAT5a in mammalian cells.
