Brief DescriptionMangiferin is used for antidiabetes. Extracted from Mangifera indica L.
-
DescriptionChinonin, also known as Mangiferin, is the main active substance of the mango tree bark (Mangifera indica L.). The antinociceptive effects induced by mangiferin are mediated by the peripheral opioidergic system involving the activation of δ, κ, and probably μ, receptors, but not serotonergic receptors. This compound may prove to be effective in treating inflammatory pain in humans.

Substance P (7-11)
Substance P (7-11) is a C-terminal fragment of Substance P, which can cause an increase in the intracellular calcium concentration as measured by the fluorescent dye Fura-2. In addition, the C-terminal fragment of SP, SP-(7-11), increased PGE2 and collagenase production at concentrations greater than 1 mM.

23-Butanedione
23-Butanedione (Diacetyl) the molecule implicated in the disease known as popcorn lung has now been implicated in amyloid-β peptide toxicity associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Diacetyl accelerates amyloid-β aggregation-a hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease.
