Description8-Epixanthatin, a light-induced growth inhibitor, mediates the phototropic curvature in sunflower (Helianthus annuus) hypocotyls, it can induce germination of O. cumana at nano- to micromolar concentrations. 8-Epixanthatin has antiprotozoal activity.
