Cassiaside demonstrates significant antimutagenic, and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) radical scavenging effects. Cassiaside and emodi show mixed-type inhibition against β-site amyloid precursor protein (APP) cleaving enzyme 1 (BACE1).
