Biological Information

  • Product Name
    Moracin P
  • Note

  • Brief Description
Moracin P exhibits potent in vitro inhibitory activity against hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF-1), which is a key mediator during adaptation of cancer cells to tumour hypoxia.
  • Description
Moracin P exhibits potent in vitro inhibitory activity against hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF-1), which is a key mediator during adaptation of cancer cells to tumour hypoxia.
  • In Vitro
Moracin P enhances cell viability in dose-dependent manner against oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD)-induced cell death in neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells with an EC50 value of 10.4 μM. Moracin P reduces ROS production in OGD-induced cell death (IC50 values of 1.9 μM). Consequently, reactive oxygen species (ROS) are overexpressed in OGD-induced cells and Moracin P reduces ROS induced by OGD in dosedependent manner.
