Brief DescriptionBombinin-Like Peptide (BLP-1) is an antimicrobial peptide from Bombina species.
-
DescriptionBombinin-Like Peptide (BLP-1) is an antimicrobial peptide from Bombina species.(In Vitro):Bombinin-like peptides, BLP-1, 2, 3 share considerable, but not complete, homology with bombinin, an antimicrobial, hemolytic peptide first isolated from the skin of Bombina uariegata. The BLPs have been assayed for antibiotic and hemolytic activity and found to be more potent than magainin 2 (a related antimicrobial peptide from Xenopus laeuis) in their ability to kill bacteria.

N-Acetyltyramine
N-Acetyltyramine is the active compound extracted from a fermentation broth of strain M3-10 which produces quorum-sensing inhibitor (QSI) compound. N-Acetyltyramine inhibits Chromobacterium violaceum ATCC 12472 violacein production and virulence factors, such as pyoverdine production, as well as swarming and twitching motilities, produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1.

6-AZATHYMINE
6-azathymine is a potent inhibitors of D-3-aminoisobutyrate-pyruvate aminotransferase.?6-Azauracil acted as a competitive inhibitor with respect to beta-alanine, and was an uncompetitive inhibitor with respect to pyruvic acid with a Ki of approximately 8.9 mM.
