-
DescriptionUrotensin II (114-124), human TFA, an 11-amino acid residue peptide, is a potent vasoconstrictor and agonist for the orphan receptor GPR14.(In Vitro):Human Urotensin II (U-II) binds to recombinant human GPR14 with high affinity, and the binding is functionally coupled to calcium mobilization. Human Urotensin II induces concentration-dependent increases in intracellular calcium in a HEK-293 cell line expressing human GPR14 (EC50=0:62±0.17 nM, n=6).(In Vivo):Human Urotensin II (U-II) markedly increases total peripheral resistance in anaesthetized non-human primates, a response associated with profound cardiac contractile dysfunction.

GlyurallinB
Glyurallin B is a flavonoid, that can be isolated from licorice (Glycyrrhiza inflata and Glycyrrhiza uralensis). Glyurallin B shows ABTS+ radical scavenging activity and the inhibitory activity on lipid peroxidation, with EC50 values of 11.9 ± 0.58 μM and 15.3 ± 1.26 μM, respectivley.

Spantide I, a substance P analog, is a selective NK1 receptor antagonist, with Ki values of 230 nM and 8150 nM for NK1 and NK2 receptor, respectively. Spantide I provides an approach to reduce type 1 and enhance the type 2 cytokine IL-10 in the infected cornea, leading to a significant reduction in corneal perforation.
