DescriptionAmyloid β-peptide fragment; minimum section required to bind to brain proteins. Binds with high affinity to α7-nicotinic ACh receptors, and impairs memory retention following central administration in mice in vivo.(In Vitro):β-amyloid (12-28) preared freshly in solution has no cytotoxicity, but aged β12-28 peptide (0.001-40 μM) reduces the viability of PC12 cells in a concentration dependent manner.

In Vitroβ-amyloid (12-28) may exert dysregulation cognitive effects by means of defective coordination of potassium channel function in nerve, glia and endothelial cells.β-Amyloid Aggregation Guidelines (Following is our recommended protocol. This protocol only provides a guideline, and should be modified according to your specific needs).Solid Aβ peptide was dissolved in cold hexafluoro-2-propanol (HFIP). The peptide was incubated at room temperature for at least 1h to establish monomerization and randomization of structure. The HFIP was removed by evaporation, and the resulting peptide was stored as a film at -20 or -80 ℃.The resulting film was dissolved in anhydrous DMSO at 5 mM and then diluted into the appropriate concentration and buffer (serum- and phenol red-free culture medium) with vortexing.Next, the solution was age 48h at 4-8 ℃. The sample was then centrifuged at 14000g for 10 min at 4-8 ℃; the soluble oligomers were in the supernatant. The supernatant was diluted 10-200-fold for experiments.

MK-3328
MK-3328 has a high affinity for β-Amyloid (IC50:10.5 nM), and can be used as a candidate PET ligand for clinical assessment of β-amyloid plaque load. MK-3328 is a potential treatment for Alzheimer's disease.
-
β-Amyloid 13-27
β-Amyloid (13-27) is a peptide consisting of amino acid of 13 to 27 of beta amyloid protein. This synthetic peptide consists of amino acids 26 to 40 of beta amyloid protein. It can be used to study the kinetics of beta amyloid formation.
-
β-Amyloid 4-10
Antibodies corresponding to beta-amyloid (4-10) are effective in vivo inhibitors of cytotoxicity, amyloid plaque formation and special memory disturbances in mice. This peptide does not elicit an inflammatory response.
