DescriptionAutocamtide-2 is a highly selective peptide substrate for calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII), which belongs to the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family.(In Vitro):The Ca/calmodulin dependent protein kinases (CaMKs) are multifunctional serine/threonine kinases whose activity are regulated through Ca2+ signaling. It is multifunctional best known for its critical role in learning and memory. Recent studies demonstrates that high levels of different isoform of CaMK, especially for CaMKII, expresses in several cancers such as lung, breast, prostate and colon cancer. CaMKII phosphorylates nearly 40 different proteins, including enzymes, ion channels, kinases, and transcription factors and plays a critical role in the regulation of proliferation, differentiation and survival of various cancer cells.

CAY10781
CAY10781 is an inhibitor of the protein-protein interaction between neuropilin-1 (NRP-1) and VEGF-A.1It inhibits the interaction by 43% when used at a concentration of 12.5 μM. CAY10781 also inhibits VEGF-A-induced phosphorylation of VEGFR2 in catecholamine A-differentiated (CAD) cells when used at the same concentration.
