DescriptionFOY 251 is a proteinase inhibitor, and is an anti-proteolytic active metabolite camostate.FOY-251, an active metabolite of camostat mesilate, on sodium transport in the mouse cortical collecting duct cell line (M-1 cells) and on blood pressure in Dahl salt-sensitive rats. Treatment with camostat mesilate or FOY-251 decreased equivalent current (Ieq) in M-1 cells in a dose-dependent manner and inhibited the protease activity of prostasin in vitro.
-
In VitroFOY-251 represents a dose-dependent inhibition of equivalent current in M-1 cells.FOY-251 inhibits the proteolytic activity of prostasin.

Toringin
Toringin, a bioflavonoid, is isolated from the bark of Docyniopsis tschonoski. Toringin progressively decreases not only the cis-effect of the expanded CTG repeats but cytotoxicity as well. Exposure to isosakuranetin, Toringin rescues PC12 neuronal cells. Flavonoids are efficacious for ameliorating the RNA gain of function caused by expanded CTG repeats, and have various biological activities and beneficial actions against cancers, coronary heart disease, among other pathologies.
