Brief DescriptionAngiotensin (1-7) (Ang-(1-7)) is an active heptapeptide of the Renin-angiotensin system (RAS).
-
DescriptionAngiotensin (1-7) (Ang-(1-7)) is an active heptapeptide of the Renin-angiotensin system (RAS), inhibits purified canine angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) activity with IC50 of 0.65 uM; augments bradykinin-induced vasodilation by competing with ACE and releasing nitric oxide, abolishes AGE-induced cellular hypertrophy and myofibroblast transformation via inhibition of ERK1/2; evokes anti-arrhythmogenic effects in animal models, upregulates cardiac nitric oxide synthase in spontaneously hypertensive rats.
-
In VitroAngiotensin 1-7 (Ang-(1-7)) inhibits cultured vascular smooth muscle cell growth, whereas equal molar concentration of Ang II stimulates cell growth.Angiotensin 1-7 (Ang 1-7) abrogates the methylglyoxal-modified albumin (MGA)-stimulated myofibroblast phenotype by inhibiting the chronic stimulation of the TGF-β-ERK pathway in NRK-52E cells.?Angiotensin 1-7 signals through the Mas receptor ( MasR) in opposition to Ang II/angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R), promoting anti-inflammatory,vasodilatory, and neuroprotective effects.
-
In VivoDaily Angiotensin 1-7 (Ang-(1-7)) treatment (0.01-0.06 mg/kg) results in significant amelioration of DSS-induced colitis. Colitis-associated phosphorylation of p38, ERK1/2 and Akt is reduced by Ang 1-7 treatment.

Reference
-
EMA401
EMA401 (Olodanrigan) is a potent, highly selective angiotensin II type 2 receptor (AT2R) antagonist, inhibits capsaicin responses in cultured neurons of human and rat DRG with IC50 of 10 nM.
-
Angiotensin II (1-4)...
Angiotensin II is a potent direct vasoconstrictor, causing arteries and veins to constrict, so leading to an increase in blood pressure. Angiotensin also potentiates the release of norepinephrine by a direct action on postganglionic sympathetic fibers.
-
Norleual
Angiotensin IV analog. Highly potent HGF/c-MET inhibitor (IC50 = 3 pM). Inhibits HGF-induced MDCK cell proliferation and invasion in vitro. Also AT4 receptor antagonist; disrupts LTP stabilization. Antiangiogenic.
