DescriptionModaline, 2-methyl-3-piperidinopyrazine derivative, was found to inhibit monoamine oxidase (MAO) and showed therapeutic anti-depressant activity. This compound potentiated convulsions induced by tryptamine and hyperthermia induced by dopa similar to other MAO inhibitors.
