    Esculetin is a β-catenin inhibitor found in chicory and other plant sources. It displays a wide variety of activities, including inhibiting MPTP-induced neurotoxicity and neuronal apoptosis, decreasing body weight, triglyceride levels, total cholesterol and glucose levels in high-fat diet-fed animals, and suppressing proliferation of colon cancer cells.
