    Cimifugin inhibits NO production induced by lipopolysaccharide in macrophage cell line RAW 264.7 and for 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl free-radical scavenging activity in cell-free bioassay system.(In Vitro):The effect of Cimifugin (Cimitin) on TSLP decreases significantly when expression of CLDN1 is interfered with siRNA and this implied Cimifugin inhibits initiative cytokines through restoring TJs.(In Vivo):Cimifugin (Cimitin; 12.5 or 50 mg/kg/day; intragastrically; 2 days) significantly inhibits TSLP and IL-33 in the initial stage of Mice are sensitized and challenged with FITC to establish type 2 atopic dermatitis (AD) model. Simultaneously, Cimifugin reduces the separated gap among the epithelial cells and increased the expression of TJs.
