Diethanolamine buffer (10 mM diethanolamine 0.5 mM MgCl2 pH 9.5) is frequently used in colorimetric assays (ELISA) using p-nitrophenyl phosphate (PNPP sc-3720) substrate and diethanolamine buffer.
