-
DescriptionA potent bactericidal agent that inhibits the KinA autophosphorylation with IC50 of 1.6 uM; inhibits the autophosphorylation of kinase A of the KinA-Spo0F two-component signal transduction system in vitro; suppresses growth of MRSA, vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium, and penicillin-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae (MICs=1-2 ug/ml); exhibits reduced resistance emergence in a laboratory passage experiment compared with quinolone and ciprofloxacin.
