Brief DescriptionNitroflurbiprofen is a NO-releasing COX inhibitor and modulates the increased intrahepatic vascular tone in portal hypertensive cirrhotic rats.
-
DescriptionNitroflurbiprofen is a NO-releasing COX inhibitor and modulates the increased intrahepatic vascular tone in portal hypertensive cirrhotic rats.(In Vivo):Nitroflurbiprofen (45 mg/kg; i.p.) improves portal hypertension without major adverse effects in thioacetamide-induced cirrhotic rats by attenuating intrahepatic vascular resistance, endothelial dysfunction, and hepatic hyperreactivity to vasoconstrictors.
-
In Vitro——
-
In VivoIn vivo hemodynamic measurements (n = 8/condition) and evaluation of the increased intrahepatic resistance by in situ perfusion (n=5/condition) are performed in rats with thioacetamide-induced cirrhosis that receive either Nitroflurbiprofen (45 mg/kg), Flurbiprofen (30 mg/kg, equimolar concentration to Nitroflurbiprofen), or vehicle by intraperitoneal injection 24 hours and 1 hour prior to the measurements. Treatment with Nitroflurbiprofen, an NO-releasing cyclooxygenase inhibitor, improves portal hypertension without major adverse effects in thioacetamide-induced cirrhotic rats by attenuating intrahepatic vascular resistance, endothelial dysfunction, and hepatic hyperreactivity to vasoconstrictors.

SC 58125
SC-58125 is a selective cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) inhibitor,?with an IC50 of 0.04 μM. SC-58125 exhibits antitumor activity in vitro and in vivo, and it also can inhibit edema at the inflammatory site and is analgesicSC-58125 treatment on the growth of human colon carcinoma cells in nude mice.?
-
Tetrahydroamentoflav...
Tetrahydroamentoflavone is a potent XO inhibitor (IC50 = 92 nM, Ki = 982 nM) with anti-inflammatory effects. Tetrahydroamentoflavone can be used for studies about inflammation and gout.
-
Gaultherin
Gaultherin has analgesic, and anti-inflammatory activities.Gaultherin lacks gastric ulcerogenic effect, because of it released salicylate in intestine slowly, not in stomach and it left the cyclooxygenase-1 unaffected, which was the source of cytoprotective prostaglandins in gastric epithelium.
