DescriptionA potent microtubule inhibitor that not only inhibits the expression levels of HIF-1α protein but also destabilizes HIF-1α mRNA; binds to the colchicine-binding site of tubulin, inhibits growth of various human cancer cells, including chemoresistant cells with IC50 70-150 nM; exhibit less inhibitory effect against human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) with IC50 of 510 nM, arrests cells in the G2-M phase and induces cell apoptosis; effectively suppresses tumor growth and microvessel density of tumor specimens in vivo.
