-
In VitroAntifreeze Polypeptide 6 (winter flounder) inhibits the growth of ice crystals by hydrogen bonding of Thr, Asn, and Asp side chains in a specific pattern to the hexagonal bipyramidal planes of ice. This mode of binding is unidirectional, maximizing opportunities for packing of AFPs on the ice surface, and that ice crystal growth inhibition occurs by a two-step mechanism involving hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interpeptide interactions.

Cyclo(Tyr-Pro)
Cyclo(Tyr-Pro) shows antibacterial activity towards several marine bacterial species, it also shows weak antagonistic activity against VEGFR2 -CD. Cyclo(Tyr-Pro) and cyclo(Pro-Val) are toxic to both suspension cells and seedlings of Pinus thunbergii, which may offer some clues to research the mechanism of pine wilt disease caused by pine wood nematode.

BIO-11006 acetate sa...
BIO-11006 acetate salt is a polyglycosylated alanine rich C kinase substrate (MARCKS) inhibitor similar to MANS peptides.
-
N-ACETYLTRYPTAMINE
N-ACETYLTRYPTAMINE is a partial agonist for melatonin receptors in the retina. Also used for determination of serotonin N-acetyl transferase.
