    [3H][Pro9]-Substance P can be used as a radio ligand for NK- 1 binding sites.[Pro9]-Substance P stimulates inositol phosphate formation with an efficacy only slightly lower than that of SP (EC50 values of 0.93 ± 0.07 and 0.45 ± 0.06 nM, respectively) on primary cultures of newborn mouse cortical glial cells.
