DescriptionCapsiate is a non-pungent analogue of capsaicin with a similar biological profile. It has a role as an anti-allergic agent, a plant metabolite, an antioxidant, an angiogenesis inhibitor, a hypoglycemic agent, an anti-inflammatory agent and a capsaicin receptor agonist.
