    The synthesis of Oleuropein could be due to the direct transformation of 7-ketologanin into oleoside-11-methyl ester and the subsequent conversion to 7-β-1-D-glucopyranosyl-11-methyl oleoside that is esterified with tyrosol to give ligstroside.
