Brief DescriptionTeprotumumab is a human monoclonal antibody that blocks the IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1R). Teprotumumab binds to the extracellular α-subunit domain ligand of IGF-1R.
-
DescriptionTeprotumumab is an IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1R) blocking human monoclonal antibody. Teprotumumab binds to the ligand binding extracellular α-subunit domain of IGF-1R. Teprotumumab inhibits TSH and IGF-1 action in fibrocytes. Teprotumumab attenuates TSH-dependent IL-6 and IL-8 expression and Akt phosphorylation. Teprotumumab can be used for thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy research.
-
In VitroTeprotumumab (0-500 μg/mL, 12 h) attenuates the actions of both IGF-1 and TSH in fibrocytes. IGF-1R and TSHR mRNA abundance is unaffected by Teprotumumab after 24 hours.

D-Proline
D-proline is an isomer of the naturally occurring amino acid L-Proline. D-amino acids have been found in relatively high abundance in human plasma and saliva. These amino acids may be of bacterial origin but there is also evidence that they are endogenously produced through amino acid racemase activity.
