Brief DescriptionACTH (11-24) is a fragment of adrenocorticotrophin, induces cortisol release. ACTH (11-24) has been identified as a competitive antagonist of ACTH (1-39) and ACTH (1-10) in isolated adrenal cells.

DescriptionACTH (11-24) is a fragment of adrenocorticotrophin, induces cortisol release. ACTH (11-24) has been identified as a competitive antagonist of ACTH (1-39) and ACTH (1-10) in isolated adrenal cells.(In Vitro):ACTH (11-24) acts as an antagonist of adrenocorticotropic hormone receptor. ACTH (11-24) induces cortisol secretion submaximally in freshly dispersed or cultured beef adrenal cortical cells. The maximal cortisol release by ACTH (11-24) is enhanced by forskolin but inhibited by calcium channel blockers.(In Vivo):ACTH (11-24) blocks electroacupuncture (EA) anti-edema but not EA anti-hyperalgesia in rats.
-
In VitroACTH (11-24) elicits cortisol secretion submaximally in freshly dispersed or cultured beef adrenal cortical cells.
-
In VivoACTH (11-24) has slight influences on circulating plasma corticosterone values and on fighting behavior.

Somatostatin-28 a
Somatostatin-28 (sheep, human rat mouse) is a biologically active polypeptide, synthesised in the proximal intestinal epithelial cells. Somatostatin-28 (sheep, human rat mouse) suppresses glucose-stimulated insulin secretion without affecting circulating basal insulin concentration. Somatostatin-28 (sheep, human rat mouse) also targets to somatostatin receptor subtype 5 (SSTR5) to regulate GLP-1 secretion.

EM-12
2-(2,6-Dioxopiperidin-3-yl)phthalimidine (EM-12 (2-(2,6-Dioxopiperidin-3-yl)phthalimidine)) is a teratogenic Thalidomide analogue that is more active and significantly more stable against hydrolysis than Thalidomide, enhancing 1,2-dimethylhydrazine-induced rat colon adenocarcinomas .
