PSB 1115 is an A2B receptor antagonist and can counteract the inhibitory effect of NECA.

PSB 1115 is an A2B receptor antagonist and can counteract the inhibitory effect of NECA.(In Vitro):PSB 1115 reversed the decrease in plasma insulin induced by NECA.(In Vivo):The effect of PSB 1115 was obvious in diabetic GotoKakizaki rats: plasma insulin was increased whereas blood glucose was unchanged. The adenosine levels were not different in normal Wistar rats and in diabetic GotoKakzaki rats.

PSB-1115 (0.5 mg/kg; i.p.; single dose, 20 min before the inhalation) antagonizes the inhibitory effect of non-selective adenosine receptor agonist NECA (HY-103173) on mucociliary clearance in mice.
