  • Brief Description
RP-54745 a potential antirheumatic compound. Inhibitor of macrophage stimulation and interleukin-1 production.
  • Description
RP-54745 a potential antirheumatic compound. Inhibitor of macrophage stimulation and interleukin-1 production.
  • In Vitro
RP-54745 diminishes LPS-induced interleukin-1 (IL-1) production by murine peritoneal macrophages.
  • In Vivo
RP-54745 (5 mg/kg) is effective at moderating oral doses in different mouse models of induced arthritis and in the MRL/lpr mice, genetically predisposed to develop an autoimmune pathology including arthritic disorders. The clinical status of the MRL mice, and several of their disturbed biochemical and immunological parameters, improved after a 3-month treatment with RP-54745.

Fibrinopeptide A, human is a 16-residue short polypeptide cleaved from fibrinogen by thrombin. Fibrinopeptide A, human locates at the NH2-termini of the Aα chain. The conversion of monomeric fibrinogen into polymeric fibrin is mediated by thrombin, which binds to the central region of fibrinogen and catalyzes cleavage of the 2 short peptides, the 16-residue fibrinopeptide A (FpA) and the 14-residue fibrinopeptide B (FpB), located at the NH2-termini of the Aα and Bβ chains, respectively.
