-
DescriptionGentisin is a novel inhibitor of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC) proliferation with an IC50 value of 7.84 μM. Gentisin has mutagenic activity.(In Vitro):The anti-proliferative effect of Gentisin was confirmed by the quantification of DNA synthesis (BrdU incorporation) in VSMC. Cell death quantification (determined by LDH release in the culture medium) revealed that Gentisin was not cytotoxic in the investigated concentration range.
