Brief DescriptionCarbendazim is a broad-spectrum benzimidazole antifungal with potential antimitotic and antineoplastic activities.
-
DescriptionCarbendazim is a broad-spectrum benzimidazole antifungal with potential antimitotic and antineoplastic activities.(In Vitro):Carbendazim (4-60 μM; 24 hours) has no effects on viability of HeLa cells in a CCK-8 assay.(In Vivo):Carbendazim (oral gavage; 100 and 500 mg/kg; once daily in diet; 28 days) induces hepatic lipid metabolism disorder, it results in a significant increase of hepatic lipid accumulation and triglyceride (TG) levels in mice.

In VivoAnimal Model:6-week-old male ICR miceDosage:100 and 500 mg/kg Administration:Oral gavage; 100 and 500 mg/kg; once daily in diet; 28 days Result:Increased the relative mRNA levels of some key genes related to lipogenesis and TG synthesis.Up-regulated mRNA levels of IL-1b and IL-6 in the liver in mice.Increased the serum concentrations of 2 proinflammatory cytokines IL-1b and IL-6 at 500 mg/kg. However, in the fat tissues, onlyIL-1b in the CBZ-500-treated group increased significantly as compared with the control group.

2',5'-Dideoxyadenosine is a potent and non-competitive adenylyl cyclase inhibitor via binding the P-site (IC50: 3 μM).2',5'-Dideoxyadenosine (20-150 mM), like adenosine, dependently and reversibly inhibits the positive inotropic and chronotropic effect of beta-adrenergic stimulation with isoproterenol (8-54 pmol) up to 70% and 50%, respectively.
