Brief DescriptionAucubin is an iridoid glycoside with anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-algesic as well as anti-tumor activities.
-
DescriptionAucubin is an iridoid glycoside. Iridoids are commonly found in plants and function as defensive compounds. Irioids decrease the growth rates of many generalist herbivores. Aucubin was found to protect against liver damage induced by carbon tetrachloride or alpha-amanitin in mice and rats when 80 mg/kg was dosed intraperitoneally.

In Vitro——
-
In VivoAnimal Model:Male Wistar rats (200-230 g) induced diabetes by a injection of streptozotocin Dosage:5 mg/kg Administration:I.p. twice daily for the first 5 days, followed by single injections daily for the last 10 days Result: Increased the body weight of streptozotocin-diabetic rats.Lowered the blood glucose level.Decreased the level of lipid peroxidation and increased the activities of antioxidant enzymes.Increased in insulin immunoreactivity and the number of immunoreactive β cells compared with untreated diabetic rats.

D-Glucose 6-phosphat...
In cells D-glucose 6-phosphate (G6P) is generated when glucose is phosphorylated by hexokinase or glucokinase or by the conversion of glucose-1-phosphate by phosphoglucomutase during glycogenolysis. G6P lies at the beginning of both glycolysis and the pentose phosphate pathways. It also can be stored as glycogen when blood glucose levels are high.
